Randy Pflughaupt is group vice president of Supply Chain Management. He oversees all North America vehicle operations, including production control, logistics control, country and export operations, production planning, Demand and Supply Operations Department (DSM) and Toyota Logistics Services (TLS). Pflughaupt is responsible for all North America production planning and logistics control from build to dealer delivery, and Japan production planning to meet U.S. market demand.
Pflughaupt most recently served as group vice president, sales administration for Toyota Motor Sales, USA, (TMS) Inc. and managed various sales administration functions for both the Toyota and Lexus Division. Specifically, he oversaw retail market development, distribution operations, corporate fleet, TLS, Toyota Certified Used Vehicles and Toyota Rent a Car. Pflughaupt was also responsible for international affiliate operations, including Toyota operations in Puerto Rico.
Since joining Toyota in 1982, Pflughaupt has held numerous positions with TMS, including district service manager, district manager, business management manager, and distribution manager at the Portland region. Pflughaupt has also served as general sales manager for the Central Atlantic Toyota region, assistant general manager of Toyota’s Los Angeles region, and general manager of the San Francisco region.
Upon returning to TMS headquarters in Torrance, Calif., he served as corporate manager for distribution operations, national sales and production manager, new era process team leader, sales administration manager and vice president of distribution operations. Pflughaupt also served as group vice president of Toyota marketing.
Pflughaupt holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.
