In 1999, he was assigned to the United States as advisor to TEMA’s supplier engineering development division to support Toyota’s supplier partners in their TPS journey. From 2009-10 Horinouchi was transferred to TMC’s OMDD group as project manager.
Since 2011, he’s been part of TEMA’s OMDD group leading TPS deployment and ensuring Toyota’s manufacturing facilities and suppliers leverage TPS as a way to develop people to surface and solve problems.
