Didier Leroy was born December 26, 1957. He graduated from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences et Technologies de I’Ingenieur in Nancy with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1982 and joined Renault S.A. in the same year.
Mr. Leroy was appointed plant general manager of Douai Plant in April 1992, and in April 1996, he was made deputy plant director of Le Mans Plant, Renault S.A.
In September 1998, Mr. Leroy joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing France S.A.S. (TMMF) as vice president and became president in January 2005. In June 2007, he was appointed managing officer of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). In July the same year, he was made executive vice president of Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA (TME) and became president in June 2010. In April 2011, he was appointed CEO of TMC’s Europe Region, and was made president & CEO of TME. In April 2012, he became a senior managing officer of TMC. In April 2015, he was made president of Business Unit Toyota No.1, at TMC and also was appointed chairman of TME. And in June the same year, Mr. Leroy became an executive vice president and a member of the board of directors of TMC.
