Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Inc.
Fred Volf, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Inc. (TMMC), is responsible for automotive assembly plants in Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario which produce the Toyota Corolla, RAV4, and Lexus RX 350 and 450h vehicles.
Prior to assuming this position, Volf was vice president of Manufacturing at Toyota’s Blue Springs, Miss., plant, responsible for all vehicle manufacturing operations.
Volf joined TMMC in 1987 as a facility engineer and moved to manufacturing in 1989. He was promoted to assistant general manager for Paint and Plastics shops and moved to general manager in 2000.
In 2002, he moved to lead the Quality Control function and finally in 2009 was responsible for all manufacturing operations at the Woodstock Ontario Plant.
He also leads a Self Reliance initiative across all North American Paint facilities to commonize best practice.
He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.
