Wataru Ozawa is the senior vice president of Unit Function at Toyota Technical Center (TTC) based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  TTC is Toyota’s North American R&D center and is a division of Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). In this position, Ozawa will oversee powertrain development including engine drivetrain, hybrid vehicle and fuel cell engineering.  Ozawa also will serve as the vice president of Powertrain and Regulation at TTC.

Previously, Ozawa was the vice president Powertrain & Regulation at TTC.  Ozawa joined TMC in 1988 and over the years has held several positions in engine development and product & resource planning.

Ozawa is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Ozawa earned a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
