Cooper Ericksen is vice president of marketing for the Lexus Division of Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), Inc. His responsibilities include all Lexus marketing activities, including advertising, product marketing communications and life cycle strategy, incentives, promotions, auto shows, direct marketing, interactive and digital marketing, future retailing and vehicle accessory marketing.
Prior to his current role, Ericksen served as the vice president and corporate manager of vehicle marketing and communications in consecutive roles for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. He was responsible for developing product marketing strategies, creative assets, product life cycle management, brand strategy and the Toyota Dealer Advertising Association. As corporate manager, Ericksen oversaw van, crossover utility vehicles and advanced technology vehicles.
Before his role as corporate manager, Ericksen was general manager of Toyota’s Boston Region. Ericksen was responsible for sales, marketing, parts and service, customer service, market representation and vehicle supply for Toyota in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Ericksen began his career with TMS in 1991 and has held a variety of positions in many regional offices around the country as well as TMS’ Headquarters in Torrance, Calif. After holding many different positions in the Central Atlantic Toyota Region, he was promoted to the Camry product manager and the sales administration manager at TMS’ Headquarters. He then went on to be the customer service operations manager, and vehicle operations manager in the San Francisco region before becoming the Portland region assistant general manager.
