Seiichi Sudo was born April 21, 1951. He graduated from Tokyo University of Science with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in March 1974 and joined Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in April the same year.
Mr. Sudo was appointed general manager of the Project Planning & Management Department, Production Control Division in January 1998. In January 2001, he was seconded to Toyota Motor Manufacturing, North America, Inc. (TMMNA). In June 2003, Mr. Sudo was appointed to the position of managing officer of TMC. In June 2005, he became president of TMMNA. He was made president of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America, Inc. (formerly TMMNA). In June 2008, he became president of Toyota Motor Kyushu, Inc., and was made an advisor of TMC. In January 2012, he became a senior managing officer. In April 2013, Mr. Sudo became president of the Unit Center, and in June the same year he was made an executive vice president and a member of the board of directors. In April 2014, he became chief officer of the TNGA Planning Division.
