Toyota Donates Computers to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School

November 29, 2007 – Ann Arbor, MI - Toyota Technical Center (TTC), a division of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America (TEMA) shipped fifty seven Hewlett Packard 4100 computers and large screen monitors to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Charter School for Science and Technology located in the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans, Louisiana. This donation was inspired when a group of Toyota Team Members recognized the need to assist the school while they were volunteering on various Habitat for Humanity projects in the New Orleans area.

"Dr. King Charter School is honored to have Toyota make such an important donation to the school. The school plans to utilize these computers to enhance its educational component. Students in grades 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th will be able to utilize these computers on a daily basis and we are very appreciative to have been selected." said Doris Hicks, CEO and Principal of the school.
